🌸 Mondays with Mil | Peonies, watering, and the bunnies that want to ruin everything. This week Mil is back on peonies and getting into the questions we hear every spring: when should you be watering, and how much is actually enough? Plus, we get into bunny repellent because if you have peonies (or really any garden bed worth having), you already know the struggle. Mil shares her favorite product for keeping the bunnies at bay so your plants actually make it to bloom. Hit play and take notes. 🐰🌿 Save this one for your spring garden routine. #MondaysWithMil #ASouthernGardener

We did what we said we would. 🌿 Yesterday on Mondays with Mil, Mil talked about the right way to remove boxwood from your garden beds. And this week, that is exactly what we are doing. Out with the dead boxwood and in with something we are genuinely excited about: Ilex glabra ‘Compacta,’ a beautiful compact inkberry that gives you that same tidy, structured look without the heartbreak of box tree moth. And yes, we are bagging those boxwood branches in plastic and sending them straight to the trash. Not the compost bin. Not the brush pile. The trash. If you missed Mil’s explanation of why that matters, go back and watch yesterday’s reel. We love the look of these Ilex. Clean, hardy, and built for southeast Michigan. This is exactly the kind of swap that makes a garden bed better for years to come. Has box tree moth hit your boxwood? We would love to help you think through what comes next. 📩 Link in bio to book a consultation with our Chief Gardening Officer Melissa. #MondaysWithMil #ASouthernGardener #GrossePointe #GardenDesign #boxwoodalternative
